[Chanteloup Creations]
After the fabulous "Rekordin 2000-1" MCD out on Spikekult, ANTAEUS released this live tape on the now defunct French
label Chanteloup Creations (R.I.P). This was a mark that the band didn't want to become a "commercial" band, as
Chanteloup was dedicated only to underground bands, and the label's productions were only tapes and, at the end, some
CDs (OATH OF CIRION...). And the tapes were often released witha shitty sound, no care was given to the production
(for example the re-issues of AZAGHAL demo and rehearsal tapes had a really horrible sound quality) and the booklets
were not "professionnally made" : only made on basic paper sheets with black & white xerocxed artwork... At least, they
chose the good place to record a "true underground release"... But these guys (CHANTELOUP & ANTAEUS) obviously
made a confusion between "underground release" and "nameless shit", because it's really a shame such shitty tapes are
recorded ! The booklet is very poor (take a look at the scan above), a very bad photocopy on which it's almost imopssible
to read the song titles, the band memebrs' names and even the label's address, with a bad-quality picture on the front. And the
sound is... I don't find any word to describe this crap... You can't recognize any of the band's song, you can't even IMAGINE what riff
is being played when you listen to it, the drums are pathetically recorded... Even for the fans (I was one once...), this was an insult
and a meaningless recording with absolutely NO interest... It was limited to 150 had numbered copies, but if you can see
anywhere someone selling this crap for more than 2 US $, DON'T BUY IT !!!!!!
