This is the MCD that revealed DARK FUNERAL. It's the (re- ?)release of the band's demo on CD, on Blackmoon's own label, Hellspawn records. The line-up on this recording is : Blackmoon on guitar, Ahriman on guitar, Themgoroth on bass & vocals and Draugen (now in SVARTSYN) on drums. As for their followin CD, they played here a "Norwegian-influenced" Swedish Black metal with a reasonable pace (i.e. no "hyper speed drummer" here), even if Draugen plays faster and with more power than Equimanthorn. The four tracks are killer, pure masterpieces of Black Metal played in avery dark way, two of them would lately be re-recorded on the CD so you have an idea of the level reached by this first effort. Really impressive, this MCD deserves its cult status and must be worshipped as a monument of Swedish Black Metal from the '90s...
