Ulver
Kveldssanger
[Head Not Found]

In the past, ULVER was an incredible and interesting band. After their first CD, which presented some melodic and Northern-inspired songs (with such a great feeling as SATYRICON's "Shadowthrone"), they played on this second album only melodic folk songs ! No metal here, just Norwegian folk-styled music, with a acoustic guitars and cristal-clear vocals in the vein of the ones on the first CD, but deeper and with a huge feeling that creates melancholy in your heart and in your soul. This is really a "must-have" for all the fanatics of Norwegian Black Metal, because even if this album is not at all to be linked to any form of metal music, it fits perfectly with the mood created by the Norwegian style of Black Metal, and it could be compared in that way to WONGRAVEN or even STORM, some "non-metal" projects deeply into Norwegian folklore. really peaceful and ideal for nostalgic nights, dreaming about Norwegian magnificient landscapes...
