I had heard from several contacts that this album differed tenfold from "Within The Sylvan Realms Of Frost", some even went as far as claiming this album sounds like INCANTATION playing black metal!?!? But, after listening to this at least a dozen times, I’m having a really difficult time seeing how this is in a completely different vein that "Within..."!!! There’s a couple of minor differences. The first being that this album seems to have even more of a DARK THRONE influence, and the second is the guitars are tuned-down several steps from the previous cd. Plus, the music just isn’t as interesting to my ears, as it’s almost "too" DARK THRONE sounding. Mind you, this isn’t a bad album, but you can certainly find tons of better things to get instead of this!! Those who love albums that sound like DARK THRONE can do no wrong here...
