Only 15:44 minutes , but worth getting. All-girl biker metal! Rumours are this Toronto band are lesbians. These four chicks bang simple, straight ahead heavy metal with the gritty feel of hardcore/ punk. While Shaftdrive are reminiscent of pre-thrash, ie. chugging sort of Sabbathy in their slow riffs and mostly midtempo pace, I can't make any comparisons. Shaftdrive keep the spirit of all the 70s and 80s bands that make you rock out and bang your head... don't know why, now I have an urge to hear Motorhead's "Vibrator"!
