Pantheon
Thangorodrim
[A.H.P.]

Straight from the front of Pagan battle grounds emerges the Thangorodrim demo of the mighty Pantheon, one of the best, and least known hordes of the U.S.A ( USNSBM ??? ). Pantheon perform a style of Nationalistic Right Wing black metal that totally blew me away from the first I had heard them. Very tight drumming, well played keyboards and guitars, and also magnificent musicianship and material all play their respective duties in making this band what it is. Although I am aware they have a lot of stuff in circulation within the underground, I have only been fortunate enough to hear this solitary demo mc; however, if everything else is halfway as good as this, then I will still be thoroughly impressed.

Track one starts with a unique synth introduction/ interlude, which has a curious circular or spherical mathematical structure to it, and seems to flow very uninhibited throughout the two or so minutes it appears for. Very abruptly the drums are incorporated, along with the rest of the ordinary instruments, which efficently eradicates the meditative state that had been developing previously. The material is fast, violent, chaotic, and very enjoyable overall. Rubeus has somewhat generic vocular patterns, which, although may not be the case for everything, fit well in the context, and compliment the style quite nicely nonetheless.

Once again, a very impressive mc from a very impressive band. 1488!!!
