Another faous bootleg with MAYHEM, this tribute's main interest is the MORBID part ! This Swedish band was the first one with Dead on vocals and it also featured Uffe Cerderlund and L.G. Petrov from ENTOMBED ! Their recording appearing on this bootleg is the "december moon" demo (their first one), the only one with Dead on vocals (on the next one called "last supper" there's another singer). They played a kind of thrash/black metal with sick vocals and I think at the time Dead's voice was not far from what you could hear on TORMENTOR's first recordings. Anyway this 4-track demo has a very good sound, no point discussing at that. In average I can say this is a good recording, but not exceptional. The 4 songs by MAYHEM are : the 2 studio bonus tracks from the "live in Leipzig" LP, "Necrolust" from their MLP "Deathcrush" and "funeral fog" taken from the "Leipzig" album. But these tracks are available on numerous other bootlegs of MAYHEM so nothing really new... Get it if you love MAYHEM and if you're a fanatic of Dead, otherwise...
