Infamous / Cromlech Release Split EP Hammer Of Triumph

Underground flowing black metal band Infamous, who combines the atmospheric torrential melody styles of Graveland with the old world melodies of Southern European black metal, joining with doom-black metal band Cromlech, has announced plans to release Hammer of Triumph, an EP with one song by each band.

We look forward to more details on the work of these vital bands. Infamous carries the torch forward of old school black metal without having to rely on the tropes of the old school, and has launched a spate of similarly-influenced projects. Cromlech is attempting to find its own voice doing something similar for north America. As false metal dies, the underground rises again.

Cromlech is more epic HM than Black-Doom, no?
Ave Mortis is some of the best heavy Metal of the past decade or so, shocking that they aren’t touring Europe and more labels aren’t showing interest.

Nice alliance! Great music from these bands. Too bad they are such bad, immoral men, draped in myth and stigma.

  3. Belisario says:

This is indeed interesting, considering how different both bands are, and the fact that in some of his split releases Infamous has managed to successfully bring his style closer to that of the other band featured. The result could be not only awesome but also fully surprising.

I’ve noticed that when shitty bands do a split with good bands, they often step up their game and produce some tolerable material. Both of these bands are good so hopefully that will result in some very nice work. I’m looking forward to this release.
