New Zine “No Help Came” To Release First Issue

A new underground fanzine called “No Help Came” will feature interviews with the likes of Sammath,Condemner,Into Oblivion,Necronomicon and local Romanian bands should interest Hessians interested in what is going on beneath the funderground. The zine can be followed on Funbook by clicking on this link.

Their mission statement is as follows:

1. we state that the purpose of this fanzine is to inquire into the minds of creators of underground music and their thoughts and principles about life, truth, death and beyond. In this fanzine any hints or statements regarding contacting the bands and labels is made with informational and testimonial value closely linked to their affirmations and beliefs.

2. metal is not rock star domain. We want to remove interest for those images and topics that tend to glorify the persons and their narcissistic inclinations. Also, more often than not album covers are close to arbitrary to the musical content and more to the general idea of the sub genre’s usual depiction style and were often discarded in this fanzine.

3. symbols are necessary. Metaphors are needed. So we paired statements with photography, drawing or other visual art in order to underline meaning, not to distract or to flatter. We kept bands logos for those are visual emblems of their creations.

4. we consider the excess and need of visuals a hint to lack of content. You will not find here decorative or unnecessary depictions of usual metal culture items.

Hopefully the zine can live up to its promise.
