A new Facebook group has arisen to fight back against the promotion of censorship in metal by the people faking victimhoood.

As Metal Hypocrites says:

We are here to hold metal bands accountable for their hypocrisy. The genre has become increasingly politicized over the last decade, largely on account of hipsters and orphaned punkers who have worked hard to make the metal underground as unpleasant as the scenes they left behind.

Worse still, many newer bands use callout and cancel culture as a way to self-promote when they discover their very average music isn’t garnering accolades and attention.

One thing that has changed almost overnight is cancel culture has become a two-way street. Now it’s no longer an exclusive weapon of the left in their witchhunts. While we at this page think that the cancel mindset is petty, absurd, disingenuous, and narcissistic, we’re also traditional metalheads, and we believe in fighting fire with fire. We’re going to test how many virtue-signaling bands actually have clean hands at the end of the day. Not too many of them cover their tracks before they shoot their mouths off, as we’ll see.

There is one rule: raise the strong, destroy the weak. That opposes the christian/liberal anti-Darwinist rule, which is raising up the weak and oppressing the strong. “Strong” in this case means self-directed, the 144,606 people on Earth who have actual souls, as opposed to the eight billion meatsuits.
