Let’s see an actual tour from the misfits & I’ll be impressed.it better not be some crazy $100 per ticket crap either.

This was desperately wanted and needed 20 years ago.

Surely “Earth A.D. / Wolfs Blood” is the only 15-20 minutes of Misfits music that’s relevant to metal?

The first album is mostly dreary goth-rock/punk. The later material reprised some of the aggression of “Earth A.D. / Wolfs Blood” but was overly influenced by 90s tough-guy Metallica-rock.

That depends on what you mean by relevant.

Hey man, all the ’70s/’80s Misfits stuff is very relevant. Songs like “Static Age” are absolutely transferable to this shit modern world of hashtags and people paying to watch other people play video games on the internet. “TV Casualty” has become iPhone Casualty. Melodic texture of the guitar playing is also still very impressive as well.

Can’t really speak to the post-Danzig stuff though.

      1. Johan P says:

        Cheers to that.

Post-Danzig Misfits: 22-song albums with safe-metal/punk. Where the old ‘fits were melodic, this is just poppy. Go with Samhain or Danzig (the group) instead, I’d say

Yeah up until 5 when they got extremely gay
