“Lords of Chaos” movie to feature hip-hop

So we heard a lot about this movie made based on the book “Lords of Chaos,” about the early 1990s black metal underground?

Wrong — sort of.

It’s about Norway, church burnings, the underground, etc. BUT instead of being about black metal, the soundtrack will be hip-hop, the musicians will be rappers, and teenage Twilight heartthrob Jason Rathbone will kill “Euronymous” after a rap-off in which Rathbone (a/k/a “Varg”) will be the winner.

Don’t believe?

It is a really sad happening. The movie will probably focus on the “evil” and “extreme” of black metal without exploring the context in which this genre originated. This hipness is somewhat of an insult.
I do not consider myself a complete fan of black metal (i like death more =)). However, i must revere this genre. It was the last greatest achievement in the history of metal, something that will never happen again (nostalgia!). The movie should end with Vikernes coming out of jail and watching people standing in lines to see lords of Chaos. Hot Topic teens with their Pepsi. Unfortunately, few movies will criticize themselves… Intentionally.

you are misinformed. this gangster lords of chaos has nothing to do with the black metal movie that is supposed to come out in 2010. it is true that the twilight guy is supposed to play varg though. it is just a coincidence that they share the same title. do more research.

to Chris Leinhart, you don’t spot satire easily, you dummy…

the thought crossed my mind… apparently the guy above me didn’t catch it either. but honestly there were no real clues that this was not some pissed off black metaler jumping to conclusions. if this is satire, smooth and kudos. but i’m sure this article got a lot of people seething with the idea of something so blasphemous because they just took this article at surface value.

I am aware that this posting is a satire. However, there will be a movie about the book, and it is very probable that the guy from Twilight will be in it. Regardless of that possibility, we can count on the fact that the movie will treat the subject in a superficial matter. I don’t need to do more “research” =).

I can’t wait to hear Key The Gate remix feat. Lil Wayne, with tributes from Rob Darken feat. Kanye West.
