Morbid Angel (Trey Azagthoth and Steve Tucker) have finally found a new drummer: Scott Fuller of Annihilated and Abysmal Dawn. Instead of Morrisound, the band is currently recording a new album with Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal) at his Mana Studios and the drum tracks have been laid down. Expect digital, plastic sounding sterility.
From Trey Azagthoth’s Facebook page:
Happy New Year Everyone!!!
It’s gonna be a good one.We have all the drums recorded for the new record, performed by Scott Fuller from Annihilated, and will soon start on the guitars, vocals and bass. It has been awesome working with Erik Rutan and Mana Studios. We have a really cool collection of new material.
There are also lots of touring plans for this new year so we hope to see you all on the road!!!!
w00p !!!Check out our 2 new shirt designs, “Innana” and “World Beater”.
We hope you like them :)

Really good musicians need retirement funds just like the shitty ones.
Nice pants.
When I saw them at that free Scion fest a few years back he was wearing some Jimmy page looking pants with dragons or something going up the side. Honestly goth bondage is a small step up.
Fair enough. Maybe he’ll be wearing cargo shorts next time I see him.
I keep hoping for baller shorts and curved bills.
Short shorts and belly shirts should become standard attire again.
White hi tops and Daisy dukes. Full range of leg motion for moshing.
I hope a good álbum
Altars of suckness?
Someone needs to tell Trey to stop dragging a dead corpse. Perhaps his mom is putting pressure on him to record another album.
According to Trey, it’s all for the Old Ones …
Or the ancient ones, perhaps? Haha
