Everything that rises must converge with the Earth, whereas that which remains at the earthy level can endure for many eras if not forever like other aspects of nature. In my view, our natural world produced us so that we would take its other plants and creatures to new planets.

With the full album appearing sometime in 2020, Fourth Monarchy released their track “The Rebirth of the Fourth Monarchy” in 2019, making it a good time to remind our audience of this important band. Following more of a Sentenced/Dissection fast melodic death/black metal attack, the new track showcases some odd vocals but tight improved songwriting.

Some rarities of excellence get skipped because they are misunderstood, and others because they are hard to write about. Amphilochia may be one of the latter: a black metal band that is difficult to describe except as a series of sensations organized around an unstated but pervasive theme, like mysticism in a technological age.
