Former editor D.A.R.G has shared his book Gradus ad Phlegethon for free download that features an interview with Brett Stevens. A genuinely interesting read that explores the depths of Black metal with much sincerity than any academic or feeble hipster that dances around the aesthetics while ignoring the true essence of the genre.

Apparently, Metalsucks wrote an article recently which alluded to Finnish late model black metal band Horna being Nazis for (a) having members who worked with NSBM-ish bands in the past (b) having members who were in NSBM-ish bands in the past and (c) possibly being friends with NSBM-ish people.

The English translation of Tero Ikäheimonen’s comprehensive Finnish black metal book, Pirunkehto – Suomalaisen black metallin tarina, is coming out September 15th on Svart Records with the English title The Devil’s Cradle. The book features interviews and career retrospectives of Beherit, Impaled Nazarene, and a bunch of other bands who do not count and have no reason to be in the same book as they suck and play crossover thrash with high-gain guitar pedals and RAC/oi themed pop-punk . These modern black ‘n’ roll bands aren’t even from the same era; they are just poseurs.

Finnish black metal band Horna withdrew from the Blastfest 2017 festival after the festival’s SJW-pandering organizers canned Peste Noire‘s scheduled performance due to anonymous antifa nags threatening the hotel and venue. On their Funbook page, Horna said “It’s time more bands should do something instead of looking the other way.”
