Graveland Announces 2018 Tour, Releases Video For Re-Recorded “Thurisaz”

Ethereal second-wave black metal band Graveland will be touring across Europe in 2018, continuing a series of selected dates in Germany, Poland, and Ukraine. At these shows, the band will be playing songs from its compilation of re-recorded Graveland songs with the classic feel but without the “old days” bad production, 1050 Years of Pagan Cult, which is available through Heritage Records.

Graveland Live In Poland On April 29, 2016

For metalheads who have listened to the studio output from Graveland over the past twenty-five years, experiencing a live version feels odd and uncanny, and definitely “new.” That the band will be struggling with unattainable heights it established for itself is obvious. When seen in Poland on April 29, 2016, other dimensions of the experience revealed themselves as well.

Black Ivory Tower Posts First Hand Account of Messe des Morts

Eastern European black ‘n’ roll blog Black Ivory Tower posted a first hand account of how antifascists and communists shut down the Messe des Morts festival in Montreal due to Graveland being booked to play and Graveland not being kosher for communists. Dubhthach explains how the new secular religions of leftism, socialism, and modern liberalism suppress others from the words of their little red books just as the restrictive monotheistic faiths of past and present did using the words of their own delusional demagogues.
