They always tell you to “think outside the box,” as if having everyone focused on non-conformity will result in anything but a new variety of conformity. So much of life comes back to the mirror image, where we are staring at a representation of ourselves, and trying to change how it looks, despite everything happening in reverse since left is right and right left.

In theory, on Sunday all the world relaxes. Some go to church to try to revive what they believe in the Old Faith, others putter around the house, knowing that eventually the Old Ways will return and bring their faith with them. As humans, we depend on social interaction for information, especially since 99% of everything is spam. The parts that are not advertisements often consist of other people trying to manipulate us for politics or to make themselves look good, and much of the rest comes from people furiously typing, speaking, filming, and gesturing to promote themselves, a condition where truthful accuracy is secondary at best.

Most of us hate change because change is rarely good.
