Dutch cassette-only label and distro Zwaertgevegt is printing Sammath shirts with designs from Strijd and Godless Arrogance. I believe this is the first time an official Strijd shirt has ever been printed. There will be a maximum of fifty shirts of each design so fans of one of the best modern black metal bands should contact Zwaertgevegt to order quickly if they desire one.1 Comment
Dismember announced on their Facebook page that their first official shirts in almost a decade will be available for purchase Sunday on their BigCartel store that seemingly hasn’t been made yet. The shirt design is brand new and features the cover of their 1988 Dismembered demo.5 Comments
Crushing old school death metal band Imprecation have unleashed new merchandise upon the world, but it takes a bit of old school engineering to get your hands on it. The new merch is specifically a tshirt designed by notorious underground artist Mark Riddick, a tshirt featuring the cover of last year’s Satanae Tenebris Infinita, and a logo patch for your killcoat or backpack.
According to the band, these may be acquired by sending PayPal funds to guitarist Milton Luna at firstname.lastname@example.org. You will need to write first for prices and totals.
The band adds: “On that note, thanks for supporting Imprecation.”No Comments
Kam Lee, former vocalist of Mantas/Massacre and former editor of Comatose Zine, has contributed art for the official Glorious Times tshirts printed for fans of the book and the time period. The shirts are white print on black and feature the Glorious Times stencil logo and art on the front.
We have covered Glorious Times in the past, but for the newcomer, it is a book of retrospectives by people who were active in the death metal underground from 1984 to 1991, which were the formative years of the genre and its earliest internal differentiation. Featuring many rare photos and perspectives, Glorious Times helped kick off the current retrospective view of the old school death metal scene that has brought many bands out of hiding and seen many classic recordings and publications re-issued.
For a sample of Glorious Times, download the Nuclear Death profile and read our update on version 2.0 of the book as well as our original article calling attention to the great work that Alan Moses and Brian Pattison are doing with Glorious Times and their help for the underground metal scene. Then consider buying a tshirt to support!
