German one man doom/black metal band The Ruins of Beverast have a new EP coming. How fucking boring will this be? Based on Blood Vaults, probably pretty fucking boring. Hopefully The Ruins of Beverast manages to tie his few interesting riffs together into meaningful compositions that don’t wear out their welcome and make me punch the stop button. He hasn’t been successful with that so far.9 Comments
When one traipses through the country outside of the lock-step conformist big cities, it behooves the pipe smoker to look for those varieties of tobacco favored in the less “civilized” areas of the world. This might bring one to Brenham, Texas, where the Brookshire Brothers grocery store offers up a unique and wonderful American tradition: the drive-thru Tobacco Barn.7 Comments
Ukranian blackened heavy metal/”flowing black metal“/black ‘n’ roll band Nokturnal Mortum posted a teaser of their new album, Істина (“Verity”), on Youtube. Will Verity match The Voice of Steel or will it be tripe worthy of only throwing at a homeless Eastern European alcoholic pestering you for change to buy Polish potato vodka that tastes like rubbing alcohol that a cat vomited in? Will Nokturnal Mortum blend the folk and heavy metal into effective compositions or will Verity suffer from lame breakdowns for Cossack line dancing? Let’s find out!7 Comments

Dutch cassette-only label and distro Zwaertgevegt is printing Sammath shirts with designs from Strijd and Godless Arrogance. I believe this is the first time an official Strijd shirt has ever been printed. There will be a maximum of fifty shirts of each design so fans of one of the best modern black metal bands should contact Zwaertgevegt to order quickly if they desire one.1 Comment
Congratulations! Your society continues to squeeze out lumpy, furry, greasy and fragrant turds into the fresh bedding. Your government is corrupt; almost everyone in business and society is a robotic zombie; your mass culture is garbage and your jobs, jails. People are miserable inside but refuse to acknowledge it for fear of seeming weak.
On top of all of that, your future is grim as you slip further into third-world levels of filth, disorder, promiscuity, corruption, disorganization, perversity, crime and rotted infrastructure. How’s that whole modern society thing — consumerism, democracy, mass media — working out for you?13 Comments
Crustfundies Antifa Seven Hills of Richmond, Virginia announced a pogrom against Imprecation after David Herrera called for metal fans to take action against the antifascists terrorizing metal shows after antifacist terrorists supported by local police and communists attacked and shut down the Messe des Morts black metal festival in Montreal due to Graveland being booked.
Sadistic Intent and Pentacle have a new split out of all material on Iron Pegasus Records. The Invocations of the Death-Ridden LP may be purchased from the Iron Pegasus web store. Will Sadistic Intent ever release an album?4 Comments
No arrests, no tickets handed out. The protesters were aggressive toward the organizers (of the concert) but not towards police … When we told them to disperse they did so.
Said Montreal police constable Benoît Boisselle about the Communist antifascist terrorists who attacked the the police protecting the Messe des Morts festival where Graveland was scheduled to play. The Antifa thugs were clearly supported not only by the communist Industrial Workers of the World union but by the local Montreal city government too. Three of the perpetrators identities are known: recidivist junkie and anti-Semite Katie Nelson, Éric Sédition (a card-carrying member of the IWW), and Alexandre Bouleric (member of the Canadian federal parliament from a district in Montreal). All walk free to terrorize again.9 Comments
Webzine Bardo Metholody interviewed frontman Pete Helmkamp (Order From Chaos, Revenge) and guitarist Gene Palubicki (Perdition Temple, Blasphemy Cruelty) of Angelcorpse. Helmkamp talks about music as a sort of arcane magic ritual, quitting drinking, his career, and why Order From Chaos and Angelcorpse both disbanded. Palubicki reflects on the weaklings of modern metal. No Comments
